Challenger Srpska Open received the highest ratings from the ATP, announced the Tennis Association of the Republic of Srpska.
The director of the tournament, Drasko Milinovic, said that maximum efforts were made to make the tournament go smoothly and that he was pleased by the fact that
this effort was recognized by the ATP.
We had a great final before the full stands and we received the highest ratings from the ATP for the organization. The tennis players themselves are delighted. The impression
of both supervisors and players is that we have surpassed the challenger level, that Banja Luka is close to meeting the requirements for higher level tournaments – said
Milinović.
According to him, this is a really great recognition, but also an obligation to continue to work even better, announced the Tennis Association of the Republic of Srpska.
We are first of all very pleased that we have continued with the tradition that has been going on for 20 years. We are especially proud that we managed to raise the Challenger
Srpska Open to an even higher level, said Milinović.
He noted that this is the first year that the matches were played on the center court at the National Tennis Center of the Tennis Association, and that challenger Srpska Open
joined the small group of tournaments that have night matches.
The winner of the challenger Srpska Open is Juan Manuel Cerundolo from Argentina who, after receiving 80 ATP points, reached 108 th place on the ATP list. By winning the
tournament, he moved his ranking by 27 places.
